Lapitec at Sicam: a touch kitchen worktop
Lapitec continues its advances in applied research and development for full-body sintered stone.
At SICAM, the International Exhibition of Components, Accessories and Semi-finished Products for the furniture industry, set to take place 16-19 October in Pordenone (Italy), the Veneto-based company will use its exhibition space (pav. 1, stand B29) to offer a series of new hi-tech products that will revolutionise the way this material is used in kitchens.
The total Lapitec look, for kitchens
In their first foray into the kitchen, Lapitec slabs were primarily the material of choice for worktops.
Thanks to the availability of finishes and hues to meet all design and stylistic needs, the product’s technical features and aesthetics determined its success among cooks in Italy and abroad. But the workability of the material, available in large, full body slabs with calibrated thicknesses, makes it suitable for doors and shelves also, allowing designers to offer bold, unique cuts, ribbings and other techniques that once were only possible, before Lapitec, with natural stone. At SICAM, the company’s stand will include a display highlighting examples of these processes and finishes, defining what has become the total Lapitec look.
Kitchens with a ‘touch’ of technology
Kitchen worktops are getting an update with innovative technological solutions that define their aesthetic style. At SICAM, Lapitec will present a company-patented, integrated induction hob and a sink, also integrated into the kitchen worktop. The touch commands on the surface of the worktop and on the upstand are new for 2018, offering control over certain kitchen area features, such as spot lighting, and the ability to charge wireless devices like smartphones and tablets. All these hi-tech features come with minimalist, rigorous aesthetics that maintain and enhance the natural texture of the Lapitec range of colours and finishes.
