Lapitec is a Sponsor of The Cultural Landscape Foundation
Lapitec is proud to announce that it is a Season of Events Sponsor for The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF), a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit established in 1998 with a mission of “connecting people to places.” Lapitec’s support will extend across all of TCLF’s major programs including What’s Out There, Pioneers and Landslide.
TCLF’s mission involves revealing the cultural histories, narratives and backgrounds embedded within our shared landscape legacy, along with the landscape architects and other shapers of these sites; and, promoting informed stewardship of this legacy. TCLF’s What’s Out There database features more than 2,300 sites (illustrated by 12,000 images) primarily in the United States, but also in Canada, England, France, Germany and Israel. Pioneers includes an online database of more than 1,100 biographies of landscape architects and other designers and seventeen video oral histories. Landslide focuses on threatened and at-risk sites and includes annual thematic reports and online exhibitions, traveling photographic exhibitions and advocacy.
With this in mind, Italy’s Lapitec, which produces and holds the patent on the sintered stone of the same name, has signed on as a 2021 Season of Events Sponsor as an acknowledgement of its dedication to sustainability. Lapitec is a next-generation material used widely in interior architecture as well as urban spaces and landscape architecture. It is made of 100% natural minerals and is free of chemical additives, resins and petroleum derivatives. With products that are entirely recyclable, the company's green soul is the perfect match for the philosophy of TCLF. Lapitec slabs are made in Italy through a process covered by 25 patents. They can be applied both indoors and outdoors, as they are unalterable, durable and resistant to UV rays, thermal shock, extreme temperatures, and even scratches.
“We’re pleased to have Lapitec, a leader and innovator in the best Italian tradition, join us as a Season of Events Sponsor” said Charles A. Birnbaum, TCLF’s president & CEO.
