Dacor House
Seoul, South Korea
The magic behind technology.
Arthur Clarke once said “any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Dacor House, the Korean headquarters of a global technology giant, says precisely the same thing.
Material and spirituality.
Far from indulging in ultra-technological displays, this design is instead characterised by a series of spiritual elements, created thanks to a careful choice of materials, colours and contrasts.
The power of balancing architecture and nature.
The interiors of Dacor House are simple, with basic shapes being created thanks to the continuous references to nature in the various rooms, through the use of plants and water features.
The combinations of colours and materials, and the use of very different yet harmonious surroundings, perfectly express the mindset and philosophy of one of the world's most innovative hi-tech brands.
A resistant stone that does not change over time
In order to create harmonious continuity between the various rooms, the Satin and Vesuvio finishes were used to create both the interior and exterior flooring and to clad the stairs inside the building. The colour of the finishes, Bianco Assoluto, helps to maintain this continuity, which really brings out the harmony and minimalist style of the structure.
